Project Description:

The Bartlett Nuclear, Inc. (BNI) provides REMP project management, oversight and mentoring to Salem and Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations. BNI is contracted to manage all program elements associated with REMP and Radiological Groundwater Protection Program (RGPP) functions, providing a single source for all PSEG environmental effluent and off site does needs.

BNI support includes:

  • Assessment of the Radiological Environmental Monitoring Program (REMP) and Radiological Effluent Monitoring Program.
  • Development of gaseous and liquid effluent sample collection schedules and verification.
  • Data verification and validation of gaseous and liquid effluent samples; MDC and/or investigation level exceedances; land use census documentation and associated summary reports; and meteorological data.
  • Mentoring to the PSEG RETS/REMP Coordinator in parallel with the development of the ARERR and AREOR. Developed a Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) based training objectives for mentoring PSEG Chemistry Department employees in the areas of Radioactive Effluent Technical Specifications and Offsite Dose Calculation Manual.
  • Coordination of activities necessary to complete the 2008 Annual Radioactive Effluent Release Report and the Annual Radiological Environmental Operating Report.
